Some Milestones |
|
| I. Capacity Building /Training |
- Extending office support to the publication of rural news paper - Ujala Chhadi. This news paper is registered with RNI since 1994 and is running through the financial support of rural readers and well wishers without any project/advertisement.
- Conducted several trainings on women's empowerment and gender sensitization with NGO's, Government functionaries and officials, students.
- Conducted many training on women's literacy, specially techniques of organizing literacy camps for women.
- Conducted 15 Trainings of Rural Correspondents in news analysis and news writing.
- Conducted training of three batches of Shriprakash Sharma Youth Journalist fellows under this initiative fellows were expected to stay in rural areas and write on issues relating to rural life, particularly rural women's lives.

| II. Outreach |
- Setting up the Women's Media Forum in Rajasthan.
- Dialogue with students and students of journalism and NGO's on issues of women's empowerment, Laws related to women and monitoring of various Government run programmes.
- Most important of our interventions have been the dialogue with Rajasthan Police and State Home Department and establishment of two holistic redressal centers for distressed women located in women's police stations in Jaipur along with other women's Groups.

| III. Advocacy |
- Due to our joint advocacy efforts the Chief Minister of Rajasthan in his budget for the year 2010-11 has declared that these women counseling centers will start all the 33 districts of Rajasthan and the Government will run this programme with the support of NGO's.
- Vividha Secretary, President and one Executive member in their individual capacity signed a Public interest litigation (PIL) in supreme court which led to supreme court guidelines on prevention of sexual harassment of women at workplace in year 1997 .
- Petition in Rajasthan High Court on issues like Sati Glorification, Bhateri Gang Rape case, Implementation of the protection of women from Domestic Violence Act.
- Vividha was also a member of the NCW Drafting Committee for the Bill on Prevention of Sexual Harassment of women at their workplace.

| IV. Honours and achievements |
- Secretary Vividha received Sarojini Naidu award in 2002 and an article of Vividha Features was selected for Sarojini Naidu award and a special mention on Vividha Features was mentioned in 2007.
- Vividha's work on women empowerment with women's perspective was honored acknowledged by Bhoruka Charitable Trust, Rajasthan in 2005
- Vividha Media Co-ordinator Babulal Naga has received Gram Gadar media award in the year 2008-09.
